New Rider Profile in Today’s Metrics

What's new

Tempo now shows your Rider Profile in Today's Metrics, based on the shape of your power curve. The card identifies your current cycling archetype, such as Sprinter, Puncheur, All-Rounder, or Time Trialist, and can also show a mixed profile when your curve sits between two types.

Open the card to see a detailed breakdown with your best average power at 5s, 1min, 5min, and 20min, compared against the matching archetype curve. The modal also explains what the profile means and links through to your full performance trends.

Why it helps

Your rider profile gives you a quick read on where your power is strongest right now. It can help you compare your current strengths with the demands of an upcoming event, spot whether your training is moving in the right direction, and understand where focused work could make the biggest difference.

How to try it

Open Home on the web and go to Today's Metrics. In the Overview section, look for the Rider Profile card and click it for the full explanation.

Note: Rider Profile uses your best power efforts from recent workouts, so it works best once Tempo has enough ride data with power.
