This Cookie Policy explains how Tempo Training LLC ("Tempo Training", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and browser storage on our website at jointempo.ai and in the Tempo web app (collectively, the "Service").
The short version: Tempo sets only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and to connect your devices securely. We set no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, so we do not ask for cookie consent. If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting it.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site recognize your browser between requests, which is how a sign-in persists from one page to the next.
We also use your browser's local storage, which holds values on your device that are not sent with every request, and device identifiers for push notifications you turn on.
2. Cookies Tempo Sets
All of these are strictly necessary: the Service cannot keep you signed in or complete a device connection without them. They are set only by jointempo.ai, carry the HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax attributes, and are never read by scripts on the page.

Signing out removes the session cookies. The connection-flow cookies expire on their own a few minutes after you start linking a device.
3. Local Storage
To remember your preferences between visits, the web app keeps the following in your browser's local storage. These values stay on your device, are not sent to our servers, and contain no credentials. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

4. Third-Party Services
We embed no third-party analytics or advertising widgets. A few third parties are involved in running the Service and may set cookies of their own:
- Cloudflare sits in front of jointempo.ai to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. As part of that protection Cloudflare may set its own cookies on jointempo.ai (for example __cf_bm, which lives up to 30 minutes) to tell real visitors apart from bots.
- Cloudflare Turnstile is embedded on the sign-up page to detect bots. The widget may set cookies or similar storage on Cloudflare's own domain (challenges.cloudflare.com) during verification.
- Stripe: when you start a web subscription you are redirected to Stripe's hosted checkout and billing portal, where Stripe sets cookies on its own domain to process the payment and prevent fraud.
- Connected services (Strava, Garmin, Wahoo, Withings, Hammerhead) authorize through their own websites, which may set cookies on their domains while you sign in there.
Those providers' cookies are governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.
5. Analytics and Advertising Cookies
We do not set any. Usage is measured from our own server logs, which involve no cookie beyond the session ones above. If we introduce an analytics tool that relies on cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before it is set.
6. How to Manage Cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the session cookies above will sign you out and prevent you from signing in again until they are allowed. Instructions for common browsers:

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our use of cookies or legal obligations. When we do, we will update the dates above and, for material changes, email you before they take effect.
